Grand Activities are intergenerational activities
In other words, activities that are shared by children and Grandparents or Grand Friends. It doesn’t matter whether the relationship is family or not. What matters is that we all live in a world where everyone has something to share, to teach, to learn, and where everyone can grow.
In connecting generations we cultivate relationships to where age doesn’t matter. We can share traditions, histories, skills, creativity, spirit, and a sense of wonder. And these things can be shared through Grand Activities!
The following are intergenerational or Grand Activities if you have the great fortune of having an older person in your children’s life. Here you will find activities for all ages so you may need to choose what is most appropriate for your children and older family member or friend. Adapt any activities as needed.
