Make a Cranberry Wreath
A cranberry wreath can be a fun and festive activity to do this Christmas season.
It’s a simple craft that takes few materials to make.
Materials and Supplies Needed:
- Fresh cranberries, not frozen
- Florist wire or other sturdy wire
- Ribbon or other decoration for top
- Scissors
- Glue or twisty tie
Directions for a Cranberry Wreath:
- Pour your cranberries into a bowl. Pick out cranberries that are good. You can choose all of your cranberries to be the same size or use different sizes.
- Measure your florist wire to be the size you would like your wreath to be. Shape it in a round shape like a wreath, then add a few inches to be able to twist the ends together. Cut your wire when you have the size you like.
- Start threading cranberries onto the wire poking them at the circular ends of each cranberry and out the opposite side. Thread the wire until your wreath is as full as you would like.
- Leave enough room at the top to twist the wire together to secure your cranberries. You may need to adjust your wreath into a round shape.
- Place your decoration at the top of your wreath and secure with glue or a twisty tie. I made my ribbon into a bow and secured it to the top of the wreath with a twisty tie.
Considerations:
- The cranberries will last for a short while, possibly up to a week, depending on the temperature of your home.
- It’s probably a good idea to keep out of reach of animals.
